1. Pyramids of Egypt


These 138 Egyptian pyramids might be source of ever-lasting mysteries for the mankind, but for all what I know there weren’t any ETs involved in its construction.

The largest pyramid is the pyramid of Khufu in Giza. These pyramids are the only wonders remaining of the ancient world. In old times these were known as “The Houses of Eternity”.

Built by the Chinese around the 7th century BC to defend against various nomadic groups, this is only a single wall in a network of long walls. Though, this main wall stretches over 2,000 miles.



3. Three Gorges Dam

It is the world’s largest electricity-generating plant of any kind. Once operatonal, this astronomical engineering feat will have the capacity of equaling 15 nuclear power plant’s energy combined. The dam consists of a 610-foot high wall that runs 1.3 miles from bank to bank. A gigantic achievement, considering that the three gorges dam is visible from the space.



4. Taj Mahal

A Hallmark of the Mughal civilization and rule in the sub-continent, this structure symbolizes the love of a Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan for her wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture in the region that beautifully exemplifies the Islamic, Indian and Persian architectural styles.



5. Burj Khalifa

The tallest structure made by man. It measures an astounding 828 meters from bottom to the top. It took $1.5 billion to make it and is one of the most luxurious destinations in the world.



6. Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas Strip is just another name for the famous Las Vegas Boulevard. With the Egyptian Pyramids, the Statue of Liberty, St. Mark’s Square, the Eiffel Tower and many more “wonders” in one place you don’t need to go anywhere else for your world tour.

Located in Moscow, Russia this Cathedral symbolizes the growth of the city since the 14th century. It was built in 1555. This remained the tallest building in Moscow until in 1600, when Ivan the Great Bell Tower was built. The shape of the building is inspired by fire; shape of flames rising to the sky.



10. Forbidden City

Built in 1406 to 1420, this complex covers an area of 720,000 sq-meters. Emperors ruled China from here for over half a century. The city’s mysterious name comes from the fact that no one was allowed to enter or leave the complex without the emperor’s consent.
