iPhone 4 Retina Display – First Impressions
The iPhone 4’s Retina display has the higher resolution of any phone on the market. It ranks in at 960 pixels down and 640 pixels across. Other high-end devices like the HTC HD2 and Google Nexus One have 800 pixels down and 380 pixels across. The result of the higher number of pixels is a greater pixel density, meaning that Apple fits more pixels into a square inch on the iPhone 4 than HTC does on the Nexus One or HD2. That means that photos and text is super sharp, and even apps that don’t have full Retina support look pretty good.
