Amazing Giant Buddha Statue in Lashan City - China
In the east of Leshan city,Sichuan province of China,there is situated the world’s biggest Buddha’s stoned-carved statue.The place has not only the religious significance but it is also famous for the tourism point of view.The statue is beautifully and skillfully carved.The making of this statue started in 713 in the Tang Dynasty and was successfully completed in 803.So it took more than 90 years to complete this statue.
This place is also one of the UNESCO world heritage sites.There are many sources of transportation for going there.If you want to go by train,get off at Emei station.The station is at the distance of 31 kilometers from Leshan city.You can also visit the place traveling by road as it is approximately 162 km from Chengdu City to Leshan City if one travels by the expressway.Besides there are several bus services that travel there after every ten minutes.
Even you can go there by water as many ferries go there everyday.Ferries to Yibin City, Luzhou City and Chongqing City are available at Leshan Port.There is also the facility of traveling by air.Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) is just 150 kilometers from Leshan city by freeway.And you can easily get air tickets and train tickets as there are many ticket houses in the city.
